ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) is a technology capable of transmitting data at speeds
up to 128K which is significantly faster than a standard modem. In addition to speed, an ISDN
connection lets you operate a number of telecommunications devices using a single line including
conducting phone calls, faxing, and web surfing simultaneously. Equipment required is a terminal
adapter, an ISDN-capable ISP, and an ISDN line from the phone company. ISDN may or may not be
available for home use in certain areas.
